Kayla Lynn Carbino and David James Montgomery, both of Winthrop, announce their engagement.

Miss Carbino, daughter of Rhonda Fraser and Alex Carbino, St. Regis Falls, graduated from St. Regis Falls Central School in 2005 and attended North Country Community College, Saranac Lake, where she majored in business. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Montgomery, son of Laura and Melvin Montgomery, Winthrop, attended the St. Lawrence-Lewis Board of Cooperative Educational Services program and received a general equivalency diploma and a welding certificate. He is employed by J.E. Sheehan Contracting Corp. Potsdam.

An Aug. 23 wedding is planned.
