MALONE — Anne M. Vaincourt, 94, of 4 Lafayette St., died Tuesday morning at her home.

Mrs. Vaincourt worked at Bea Jay Dress Factory for 10 years and at several other businesses in Malone.

Born Jan. 9, 1914, in Chateaugay, daughter of John and Mary MacCallum McCormick, she attended school in Franklin Center, Quebec, and Chateaugay and St. Joseph's Academy.

She married Harold Vaincourt on Feb. 8 1942, at Notre Dame Church, with the Rev. Charles A. DesRosiers officiating. Mr. Vaincourt died Sept. 29, 1966.

Mrs. Vaincourt was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of Malone Adult Center. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and reading and was a New York Yankees baseball fan.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gerald and Diane, Ellenburg Center, and James and Wanda, Malone; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Eileen Butchino, died Nov. 10, 1981. Three brothers, Charles, Peter and J. Edmund McCormick, and two sisters, Gladys O'Connor and Sister Joan Patricia McCormick, also died before her.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in St. Francis Assisi Cemetery, Constable.

Calling hours will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home.
