Connor Caldwell pitched a three-hit shutout in the semifinals and was selected the tournament MVP as Immaculate Heart Central won its own Dick Kobel Memorial Tournament on Saturday.
Caldwell struck out eight and walked five to earn his first varsity victory as the Cavaliers (11-6) blanked Edwards-Knox 6-0 in the first game at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds. Caldwell and Santino Alteri both finished 2-for-3 for IHC.
In the championship game, Sam Cavallario was 3-for-3 to spark IHC to a 12-7 win over Sackets Harbor. Dan Magovney, Patrick Caldwell and Kyle Thomas all had two hits for the Cavaliers.
Nick Thompson had three hits for the Patriots (9-4) in the final. Brett Weller supplied two hits and two RBIs as Sackets Harbor upended Alexandria, 4-2, earlier in the tournament in a Frontier League "D" Division game. Jake Simmons struck out seven for the Patriots, who moved to 8-2 in league play.
Edwards-Knox defeated Alexandria 6-5 in the five-inning consolation game.

Ben Anaya's run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fifth inning completed a three-run rally and gave the Spartans a Frontier League crossover win over the Vikings in Adams.
Anaya finished with two triples for South Jefferson (6-7, 5-5). Kayle Tiffany and A.J. Chartrand each contributed RBI doubles for the Spartans.
Sam Scudera provided two singles and drove in a run for Thousand Islands (7-6, 6-5).
BEAVER RIVER 7, APW 5
Shane Scanlon smacked a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead the Beavers past the Rebels in a crossover game in Beaver Falls.
Dustin Tooker added two RBIs for Beaver River (12-2, 10-2), and Jay Augustyn contributed two hits.
David Stanton was 3-for-4 with a home run for Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (2-10, 1-9).
OFA WINS TOURNEY
Nick Wallace had three hits and drove in three runs to lead OFA (8-1) to a 14-9 win over Lowville in the championship game of the Jim Pinkerton Tournament at Ogdensburg. The tournament was played with wooden bats.
Andy Fisher and Gene Bouyer each had two hits for the Blue Devils. Dallen Farney and Jeremy Gillen finished with two hits apiece for Lowville (13-4).
OFA reached the championship game thanks to an 8-0 win over Salmon River (6-2) as Tylor Stevenson threw a four-hit shutout and also drove in a run with a triple. Andy Ladouceur had three hits and drove in three runs.
Lowville topped Beekmantown 8-4 in the semifinals as Jake Roes hurled a complete game. Gillen and Roes both had a triple and two RBIs for the Red Raiders.
Beekmantown picked up a 4-2 win over Salmon River in the consolation game.

Allen Bourdon and Dustin Currier each had three hits to lead Massena (7-4) to a win in the second game of a nonleague doubleheader at DeWitt, giving the Red Raiders a split.
Tony Zappia had two hits and three RBIs, and Nate Pichette also picked up two hits for Massena in the second game.
