Ask Andrea Kilbourne-Hill about a specific moment in her hockey career, and the response might come back a little fuzzy.

Scores? Dates? Accomplishments? Those are just details.

Kilbourne-Hill is all about the experiences. She's had a few.

Teenage phenom. Ivy League standout. Olympic silver medalist.

And, at 27 years of age, she's not done. The next phase of her life in hockey will begin next season, when she takes over as head coach of the girls hockey program at Lake Placid's Northwood School. Kilbourne-Hill, a native of Saranac Lake, is a product of Northwood hockey, having played primarily with and against boys at the school until her graduation in 1998.

From there, Kilbourne-Hill was off to Princeton University, where she became one of the Tigers' all-time leading scorers. In four seasons at Princeton, Kilbourne-Hill produced 170 points (76 goals, 94 assists) and was a two-time candidate for the Patty Kazmaier Award, which is given annually to the top player in college women's hockey.

Kilbourne-Hill, a 2003 Princeton graduate, was twice selected to the All-Ivy first team and four times picked for the All-ECAC second team. She made the ECAC All-Academic team three times and the Academic All-Ivy team once.

In the 2002 Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City, Kilbourne-Hill helped the United States secure silver, finishing with a goal and an assist in the tournament. She was the first Princeton player to appear in the Olympics.

Kilbourne-Hill also won silver medals with the U.S. team in 2004 in the World Championships and Four Nations Cup.

She spent three seasons as the girls hockey coach at Lake Placid High School before accepting the coaching position at Northwood. This past season, she was named coach of the year in the Upstate New York Varsity Girls Hockey League.

She married Dan Hill in October 2006. The couple, which is expecting its first child in April, resides in Saranac Lake.
